[12:14 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Taurus

[2:33 AM ET] Venus in Scorpio square Saturn at 18º47’ Aquarius

The week starts off strong, right with a Lunar ingress: the Moon enters Taurus. The beginning of this weeks features the build up to a Lunar Eclipse which will go exact on Tuesday. The Moon will go from being ruled by Mars Retrograde in Gemini to Venus transiting through Scorpio. Venus becomes responsible for the events of the Eclipsing happening in her sign, but being in Scorpio, she’s not in a position of support to unify things together and ease tensions, being in the Scorpionic environment filled with stings and bites and cold hearted truths about power dynamics in relationships. Power dynamics, constraints, boundaries, and needing to set limitations in relationships are especially felt as Venus makes an exact square to Saturn today. The Moon is in reception with this aspect, and it witness both Venus and Saturn since they’re all in the fixed signs. Venus is not in the best of conditions in Scorpio already, exiled and combust, but adding a further layer of challenge she encounters, a hard aspect to a malefic planet. The malefics can be constructive and the bringers of success and victory, however when they’re in hard aspect, they indicate challenges, struggles, and the malefic has more power to create challenges for whoever glances at them. For Venus, this square is to Saturn, which brings a certain level of somberness, seriousness, and fear/anxiety in regard to relationships. Hard aspects to Saturn can be indicative of injury, chronic or long-term issues, things that inhibit and stop you in your tracks. There’s a very cold feeling to this aspect. Cold truths, hard truths about reality, about relationships, around pleasures. Scorpio can bring these feelings of abandonment since the Moon is depressed in Scorpio, whereas in Taurus the Moon has a tight-knit circle, one it calls family. Aquarius brings a very distant, arms length vibe and freezes up in contemplation of the future. This aspect really sets the vibe for this Eclipse because Venus is the ruler of the Eclipse, and she doesn’t really have much strength to hold on further. Encountering this next layer of debilitation, where Venus wants unity, it is exposed to the disheartening circumstances of the matters. There is some element of hope Venus will find once it makes a trine to Jupiter in Pisces, but for now, Venus is not happy.

Tuesday, Nov 8th

[1:08 AM ET] The Moon conjoins the North Node at 13º24’ Taurus

[5:43 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus opposes Mercury at 15º51’ Scorpio

[6:02 AM ET] ECLIPSE: Lunar Eclipse at 16º00’ Taurus

[7:47 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Uranus Retrograde at 16º56’ Taurus

[11:19 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus square Saturn at 18º49’ Aquarius

[11:42 AM ET] SYNODIC CYCLE: Mercury conjoins The Sun (Cazimi) at 16º15’ Scorpio

[2:50 PM ET] The Moon in Taurus opposes Venus at 20º40’ Scorpio

[9:39 PM ET] Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus Retrograde at 16º55’ Taurus

Tuesday brings major Fixed Sign activation. The Moon in Taurus is in the sign of her exaltation, and here she signifies growth, life, comfort, sustenance, food, pleasures, and an indulgent relationship with the body. The Moon has strength in her exaltation and it draws attention to our values, our likes, what makes us feel good, but the Moon conjoined to the North Node indicates there are feelings of insatiability, craving, and hunger for more comfort, pleasure, and security. Theres something disrupting our ability to feel satisfied with these Taurus topics, driving us to seek further meaning of what does satisfy you. The North Node invites new circumstances and situations into our lives and with a Lunar Eclipse, it brings a full culmination to the house Taurus rules in your chart. There is some contention with these feelings of stability, safety and security because the ruler of the Moon is Venus in Scorpio who is opposite Venus.

Early in the morning, the Moon in Taurus will oppose Mercury in Scorpio, and this is particularly important because Mercury is also conjoining the Sun on this day too. Mercury opposing the Moon brings contention and challenges with news, information, data and documents. Contrasting or conflicting news due to trickery, lies, and deception is abound since Mercury is in Scorpio. Mercury is really tricky in this situation because it is ruled by a malefic planet, but its also in mutual reception with that malefic planet, Mars. Mars in Gemini in mutual reception with Mercury in Scorpio. Mercury is conjoined the Sun but Scorpio has lots of connotations with drugs, antidotes, and poisons, and this conjunction is something tricky, sneaky, or hidden finding its way into something liquid (Water element). Whether that be a bug, actual poison, or there being poor water quality, there is trickery around water and questioning its safety.

You can interpret this literally as someone being sneaky, tricky, or having sticky fingers, theft is also another thing I’m thinking about too. Be careful of tricky people just getting too close to you, the same way Mercury is too close to the Sun currently, if you know what I mean. The energies are very chaotic and the malefics are very active right now. Stay alert, don’t make irresponsible decisions, and always guard yourself. Knowing your limits, knowing when to stop, and when to not go overboard with indulgence is important because the Moon in Taurus is craving more and more. As this opposition is going exact, the Moon is losing light and being Eclipsed. It does not seem like a good omen at all. With Eclipses, minimizing interference with the natural flow of events is usually the best by maintaining and firming your ability to stay grounded through the chaos. You don’t want to do things that will put a lot of stress on your body since the Moon and Sun as points of vitality are having their light sucked, swallowed, and taken from them by the Nodes. One other interpretation could be identify theft and fraud, or scammers being revealed. Those who plan trickery and enact a manipulation of power are revealed today. A Cazimi on the day of the Eclipse is quite a rarity, and then the Moon’s next aspect is a conjunction to Uranus in Taurus. Any time planets or even stars a close to a lunation, especially a Full Moon, it really brings out the characteristics of that planet/star for this moment and time and the things we’ll be experiencing. Uranus is a planet of sudden disruptions, revolution, shaking up conventions and status quos, and conjoined to the Eclipse, it brings a particular level of overstimulation to the Moon, disrupting comfort, nourishment, and a sense of stability. The Moon will then make a square to Saturn in Aquarius, which bridges the Saturn/Uranus square together, marking this Eclipses as a moment that brings major change, disruptions, and upheavals to traditions, infrastructure, foundations, and government within society. Saturn strong, direct, and at home in Aquarius squares off against a Moon Exalted in Taurus, but just drained of light. This is an indicator of scarcity, loss of vitality, nourishment, and even death in some case, whether it be to those signified by Taurus (women, entertainers, farmers, laborers) or cows, signified by the Bull, or crops and food supply. This definitely doesn’t seem like a good omen for the ongoing issues with the supply chain and resource instability. These effects will reverberate for the next few months after this Eclipse, not just for today.

One of the interpretations several ancient astrologers indicate about a Lunar Eclipse in the 2nd Decan of Taurus is that it indicates the death of a women ruler (in terms of world or mundane astrology) and with Venus in this harsh aspect to Saturn as the lord of death, it makes me raise a few eyebrows as to why this was the interpretation of the ancients.

After the Moon has crossed through this territory, it will then meet its domicile lord, Venus in Scorpio through an opposition, a fierce contrast across the Taurus/Scorpio axis where it shows contention being brought in partnerships, relationships, with diplomacy, fairness, and maintaining balance. There is a very active Mercury Cazimi that will go exact around the same time, so as there are lots of secrets and hidden things, this Mercury Cazimi gives us an opportunity to see through some deception, trickery, and fraud. To finally end off the day, Mercury will make an opposition to Uranus in Taurus which again brings unexpected news, conversations, and surprises. Tuesday is one of the most eventful days of the week, and the planets running the show as Mercury and Mars in their mutual reception with Saturn in Aquarius puts blocks, restrictions, and limits on everything. This Eclipse really comes in to shake things up at the beginning of the week, and moving forward, we will begin the process of wrapping up this lunation cycle and Eclipse Season for Fall 2022.

Wednesday, Nov 9th

[3:26 AM ET] The Sun in Scorpio opposes Uranus Retrograde at 16º54’ Taurus

[7:00 AM ET] The Moon in Taurus sextile Jupiter Retrograde at 29º09’ Pisces

[8:36 AM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Gemini

On Wednesday, the Sun will make an opposition to Uranus, which carries a lot of that residual disruptive and volatile energy over into Wednesday. Things do get a little calmer, the Moon is still moving through the sign she was Eclipsed in, but she encounters a sextile to Jupiter in Pisces which is able to offer some alleviation, support, and empathy from friends, supporters, and allies. The need to seek moderation, balance and temperance can be found in the Moon’s connection with the Greater Benefic.

Afterward, the Moon enters Gemini where it will leave the sign where it was eclipsed and enter into the chatty, airy territory, ruled by Mercury who just conjoined the Sun. The Moon going from this fixed, stable, and enduring sign shifts over into an adaptable, fluid, and mutable sign. The topic for the next part of the week is communications, news, data, and information. We’ll have more on this tomorrow. The Moon won’t be connecting with any planets for all of Wednesday and Thursday, which can bring a sense of anticipation, restlessness, and mind-racing energy.

Thursday, Nov 10th

[2:51 AM ET] Mercury in Scorpio square Saturn at 18º52’ Aquarius

[7:21 AM ET] Venus in Scorpio trine Neptune Retrograde at 22º47’ Pisces

[9:21 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini trine Saturn at 18º53’ Aquarius

On Thursday, while the Moon is in Gemini, it will be ruled by Mercury who’s up next to make a square to Saturn in Aquarius. That’s one of the major themes of this week, all these planets in Scorpio are finally making their square towards Saturn, and in some way are overcoming or moving past these obstacles, barriers, and limits set in place. Mercury squaring Saturn can be indicative of restrictions, censorship, and limitations on words, news, and information. Mercury in Scorpio as we’ve discussed is the trickster in full effect and with full malevolence in the malefics sign, and in this aspect to a dignified Saturn in Aquarius, there is some harsh barrier, blockage, and stop that is put on Mercury’s schemes. Mercury in a tense aspect to Saturn can also be indicative of harsh news, somber news, serious news, and an air of melancholy to our conversations, expressing dismay and disappointment. The Moon is unable to witness its ruler, Mercury, however, it does witness Saturn by the end of the day through a trine aspect. Saturn is able to bridge the gap of knowledge and information here by providing us with cold, hard, facts. There is much more of a clearness, firmness, and rigidity to our conversations today that might not feel super comfortable, but Saturn is more concerned about showing limits and constraints.

Friday, Nov 11th

[3:03 AM ET] The Sun in Scorpio square Saturn at 18º54’ Aquarius

[5:02 AM ET] The Moon in Gemini square Neptune Retrograde at 22º47’ Pisces

[8:34 AM ET] The Moon conjoins Mars Retrograde at 24º33’ Gemini

[5:28 PM ET] The Moon in Gemini square Jupiter Retrograde at 29º02’ Pisces

[7:22 PM ET] INGRESS: The Moon enters Cancer

On Friday, our final planet to make a square to Saturn is the Sun in Scorpio. This marks an important moment for Saturn in its epicycle because after stationing Direct during Libra Season, this closing square is where Saturn starts gaining speed and is also ending and closing out its cycle. The Sun and Saturn are opposed in their qualities, illumination with the Sun, and the hidden with Saturn. Both are associated with power, control, and authority, their square-off brings lots of tension with being able to take action, overcoming limits, rising above obstacles, and intense persistence. It’s a full culminating moment for the story of Saturn in Aquarius in 2022 since the Sun is in the 10th house, dominating over Saturn. Both fixed signs indicate stubborn conflict. The Moon is still transiting through Gemini as this aspect is perfecting, but early in the morning (ET) it will conjoin Mars in Gemini, making this their first conjunction since Mars stationed Retrograde on Oct 30th. This is definitely a moment where conflict, tensions, and tendencies towards aggression are brought out of us, and as a result, they could prompt some important revisions Mars will need to look at for the next few months. The Moon is pulling this tension between Mars and Jupiter closer together, which shows conflict with faith, dishonesty, breaking oaths, and commitments. This is definitely a moment where we’re finding tension in our faith, what we believe is true, what is fact from fiction, and what can we put our belief in. There is a lot of aggression and stubbornness that is in the air this Friday as a result of both of the Luminary’s (Sun and Moon) interactions with the malefics (Sun with Saturn, Moon with Mars). Its definitely important to get out any of this built-up energy, so engaging in some physically and mentally stimulating activity will help. Whatever this looks like for you, allowing your body to release stress will help with navigating through the day. Comfort and relaxation both become timely themes as the Moon returns back to her home sign Cancer, leaving this really chaotic and conflict-ridden environment that is currently Gemini.

Saturday, Nov 12th

[1:35 PM ET] Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune Retrograde at 22º46’ Pisces

On Saturday, the Moon will be swimming through Cancer, and I’m particularly excited for this Cancer Moon because the Moon will be averse to both malefics (Mars and Saturn), so there’s not really much to interfere with the Moon’s desires to create comfort, security, and protection here. In fact, over the weekend there is a really nice Grand Water trine forming between the Moon in Cancer, the Stellium in Scorpio (Sun, Venus, Mercury), and Jupiter in Pisces. The weekend gets incredibly watery with 5 out of 7 visible planets in Water Signs. Air and Water share similar qualities in the sense that they both posses the quality of Wetness, allowing them to be more fluid, adaptable, and malleable to different environments. There isn’t a lot of action or decisions that are being made over the weekend and everyone is kind of in their own vibe. The Moon conjoined her Apogee in Cancer this year, so every time she comes here she’ll be a lot slower than usual. The speed of the moon is also a metaphor for the speed at which the day travels: slow. Take your time, don’t rush, enjoy the breeze, and let the Cancer Moon take you in your feelings.

Sunday, Nov 13th

[2:22 PM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine the Sun at 21º23’ Scorpio

[5:08 PM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine Neptune Retrograde at 22º45’ Pisces

[9:24 PM ET] The Moon in Cancer trine Mercury at 24º52’ Scorpio

On Sunday, the Moon will still be moving through Cancer, and the first aspect it makes is a trine to the Sun, which brings revelations, insight, and clarity. The Moon is able to make a lot more sense of what it is feeling, its emotions, and is able to release them. We start to see this Grand Water Trine forming on Sunday and it carries into next week. The Moon trine the Sun is already a great day because the Luminaries are in harmony, and the Moon being strengthened at home gifts the gifts of intuition, empathy, and reading omens. This is definitely a spiritual aspect and it’s really great for receiving insight and wisdom through divination, such as Astrology or Tarot or any other mediums of watching omens. The Moon makes a trine to Mercury in Scorpio too which makes us very chatty for the day, probably about how we feel and our emotions. It is very nice to have a nice break in the Astro Weather since things have been pretty rough, and this Cancer Moon will definitely show us where our habits need to be adjusted, changed, and it brings revelations as to where the source of these buried and guarded emotions come from. Vulnerability and creating a safe space can help to process what you’re going through, but the important thing is to talk it out. The Moon trining Mercury in the water signs provides a clear articulation of the moods that one is currently feeling. This weekend can bring a lot of much-needed balm, and the abundance of water in the Astro weather may call for a soak in some Epsom salt to decompress. That’s one of my favorite words for Cancer and Taurus as very lunar-influenced signs: decompression. The Moon is able to soothe us on Sunday. Prioritizing yourself and protecting your safety is always important, but Cancer also protects those who they love as well too. Side effects may include the desire to sleep all day with this Moon.
