What is A Birth Chart?

Astrology is the study of knowing what arises in this world as a result of the movement of the planets. Natal astrology is then the application of astrology to understanding the individual lives of people based on the positions of the planets at the moment they were born.

Proto-natal astrology originates in the Babylonian astrological tradition with the emergence of the subdivisions of the zodiac like the Bounds and the Dodecatemoria that allowed the larger movement of planets to be particularized for individuals.

It is then adopted in the Hellenistic, Persian, and Indic worlds as Horoscopic astrology is developed and transmitted throughout West and Central Asia. The Islamicate astrologers will then inherit, adopt, and expand on this framework creating a synthesizes method for analyzing and predicting the lives of individuals based on their horoscope. In my nativity sessions, we will recreate their methods based on the teachings of Dorotheus, Al-Andarzaghar, Masha’allah ibn Athari, and Abu Ma’shar Al Balkhi.

The Birth Chart relies on a few core pieces of data: the date you were born, used to calculate the positions of the planets along the zodiac, the time you were born to determine where the planets were in the sky at the exact moment of birth, and the location of birth to determine how the celestial alignment would’ve been observed in that locality.

If you do not know your birth time, but have an approximation of a time, contact me, and I can help you rectify your birth time through running your horoscope through a few tests with timing to important events that have already happened in your life to reverse engineer the necessary time of birth for those events to have occured.

The Nativity Session

When you begin working with me as a client, it is important that you get your natal horoscope interpreted by me. Through calculating your horoscope, lots, indicators of the aforementioned topics, and time lords we can sit down and have a robust conversation on how the movement of the planets will shape the trajectory of your life.

Clients are encouraged to come curious with questions about their life, the trajectory of it, and any confusion about those areas they are seeking clarity on is also welcomed. Whatever part of your life you want to examine, we’ll have a discussion about it.

The entire session is 2 hours in which we’ll run through the various procedures for delineating these topics of your life. Addressing the condition based on the horoscope, circumstances that may add fortune or bring hardship around that area of life, and then prescribe natural and occult remedies to deal with your situation. To all this, we add predictive astrology in which we situation where you are at currently in the larger timeline of your life, and how it shapes your current experience of life.

The goal of my sessions is to provide clarity on why certain things are happening in your life. Astrology always has an answer, and my job as your astrologer is to interpret the current condition of the planets and how it shapes your life, and how their movement will shape your experience in the future, and provide foreknowledge necessary to deal with any situation that befalls you. This initial session sets up a foundation for any predictive work we do together in the future.

After you book a nativity session, you are encouraged to then schedule your next reading around your birthday where we will interpret your horoscope each year to make concrete predictions for what events your experience, changes in the soul, in your fortune and prescriptions for the year.
